2025 Intermountain Weavers Conference (IWC) Location and Dates
The 2025 IWC will be held 17 – 21 June 2025 at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque NM.
We are very excited to host IWC in the Albuquerque Convention Center. This allows us to host all of our classes and events in one location. The Convention Center has easy access from highways and a large airport.
New Mexico is a great location for our Conference. New Mexico is one of the few regions left in the United States where fiber art is thriving. Over the past centuries, fiber art has played a crucial role in the economy of the region.
For more information about the conference, see the Info page.
IWC Zoom Class - Contemporary Tapestry Scene: Trends and Traditions, Molly Elkind
CLASS DESCRIPTION: Tapestry today is incredibly diverse. Whether you weave tapestry or just enjoy looking at it, it's good to be aware of what is being done, here in the U.S. and around the world. Join me for a slide tour of tapestry today that will make you a more informed viewer and/or designer of tapestry art. Focusing on solo artist-weavers from traditionalists to experimentalists and everyone in between, we'll look at it all. You'll leave with a deeper appreciation of this wide, deep, and still-evolving art form.

WHAT: 2 hour virtual presentation via Zoom facilitated by IWC. The class will be recorded. The recording will be available for 2 weeks after the class. Class attendees will be sent a link and password after the class ends.
